School Newsletter 14th March 2016

Dear Parents and Carers,

I am writing to let you know we have now received the school Ofsted report which sadly makes for disappointing reading as our school has been judged overall to 'Requires Improvement’.  Although this inspection has been carried out under the new more stringent framework, it is especially disappointing as the HMI found issues with our school only two weeks after the SIAMS inspector judged the school to be outstanding.

I would like to reassure you that in the past two weeks since the inspection we have already actioned much of what the HMI believed needed improving and we will continue as a staff and governing body team to do everything possible to make these improvements as rapid as possible.

Whilst we accept there are aspects of the school work which require improvement, all those in the life of the school believe there are many aspects that are good, highlighted in both the SIAMS and the Ofsted reports, where we all strive to do our very best for each and every child in the school.

The outcome of the Ofsted report will not affect the normal day to day running of the school but it is likely over the next few months that you may see additional visitors helping us to meet our improvement goals.

My thanks to those parents who waited to speak personally to the HMI in support of the school who unfortunately weren't given the opportunity to meet with him, and thank you to you all for your continued support of our school.
