School Newsletter 30th September 2016Dear Parents and Carers,
Change of date
HMI have been in contact today. The inspector will visit the school on Thursday 6th October. I am writing to let you know that Parent Consultation Meetings that were due to be held on Wednesday 5th October are postponed until Wednesday 12th October so that staff can be fresh for the day of the inspection. If this date is inconvenient, please contact your child’s class teacher who will be happy to meet with you at an alternate, mutually convenient time.
Meetings on the 6th October will go ahead as planned. I apologise for the inconvenience this may cause, but I am sure you will want to support us in achieving the best outcome that we can.

I hope you had chance to look at the writing strategy document and grammar booklet for parents. Both documents are available on the website and please do ask if you would like more information.

Mrs Mackay will be holding a short Paired Reading workshop at 3.20pm. Please add your name to the clipboard if you would like to attend.
Wear green and cake stall for MacMillan
Thank you all for the wonderful contributions for the cake stall today to raise money for this charity which is close to the hearts of many of us. The children look great in their green clothing and have had a super day.
Thank you also for the array of foods that were sent in to be shared at the Harvest Festival on Monday. These will go to the Ripon Foodbank and Harrogate Homeless Project. Reverent Alison warmly invites you to join the church Harvest service on Sunday at 11am, followed by a bring and share lunch at Coronation Hall.
