Storytelling Week 30th January 2016

Dear Parents, Carers, Governors and Friends

Saturday 30th January marks the start of National Storytelling week for 2016.  There is so much to learn through stories and we hope that you continue to enjoy reading to and with your children, no matter how old they are.

During the week commencing 1st February, it would be lovely to hear stories read by adults other than the staff in school, so if you can offer to read a story to a class, half a class or group, please let me know your availability (15 minutes or so) and I can try to plan this in to the timetable for the week.  It would be great to see different role models reading stories such as fathers, grandfathers or people in uniforms that the children would recognise (e.g. Army personnel, fire, police etc) so please help if you can.

I look forward to hearing from you if you can help.  Please send a note via the office with your name, child’s name and availability for story time. If not, I hope you enjoy some great story times at home during the coming weeks.

Thank you for your continued support.
