House Captains

 

House Captain School Badge – All Sports TrophiesHouse Captains are an important part of our pupil leadership team at Kirby Hill. Four Year 6 pupils are chosen to lead each of our House teams: Whitby, Jervaulx, Fountains, and Bolton.

Pupils apply for the role and are selected by the Headteacher, in consultation with staff, for their leadership skills, confidence, organisation, fairness, and their ability to act as excellent role models for others. While each Captain represents and leads their own House, they also work closely together as a team of four to support the wider school community.

House Captains meet regularly with the Headteacher, represent their Houses in assemblies and events, collect and announce weekly House Points, and help to organise sports and competitions. This role is both a privilege and a responsibility, and our Captains play a key part in promoting teamwork, pride, and living the Kirby Hill Way.
