Gill Ward to Retire as Chair of Governors
Dear Parents and carers
It is with a heavy heart that I am writing to inform you that I am stepping down from the school’s governing body. It is purely for health reasons.
It has been an enormous privilege to have worked with Mrs Farby, fellow governors, staff and pupils over the past nine years. I hold Kirby Hill School very close to my heart and will miss the involvement.
When I first became a governor I had no idea what it involved. It quickly became clear it was a big commitment but one I was happy to make. This commitment was also matched by Mrs Farby and all the staff. We all have one aim, to make Kirby Hill School the best it can be. I will miss being part of the school system but I won’t be disappearing altogether. I hope to visit school regularly, help with school visits and be a friend in whatever way I can.
I would like to thank Mrs Farby for giving me a wonderful opportunity to be part of the school.
I wish her, all the staff, governors and pupils the very best going forward.
With my very best wishes
