Rainbow Room
The Rainbow Room is our school’s dedicated space to support the social, emotional, and mental health needs of all our children.
It provides a calm, safe, welcoming child-friendly environment for pupils who need to regulate their emotions, talk to an adult, take time to calm down, or complete work when they are facing challenges such as worries, friendship issues, bereavement, or similar concerns. It is also a space where children can work on projects or tasks independently.
We were thrilled to have a very special visitor for the official opening of the Rainbow Room: Harrogate Town AFC and their mascot, Harry Gator, who delivered a super assembly and spoke about mental health and wellbeing.
The Rainbow Room is part of our broader wellbeing provision, offering flexible support through individual sessions, small group work, or mentoring. It is also available for use by Early Help teams, social workers, and other professionals, ensuring children can access additional support in a safe and familiar environment.
